US National Championship Expanded to Two Venues as Wiraka Joins as Championship Partner
The United States National Snooker Championship has received a significant boost ahead of next month's event, with the tournament expanding to two venues and Wiraka announced as an official Championship partner.
Originally scheduled to be played exclusively at California Snooker in San Jose, the Championship will now also utilize the newly opened PABSA Academy in nearby Santa Clara. The addition doubles the number of tournament tables from four to eight, providing competitors with more playing opportunities throughout the event before the latter stages move exclusively to the new academy.
The Championship will also be contested on Wiraka tables following the company's partnership with the United States Snooker Association (USSA). Wiraka has become an increasingly familiar name in American snooker, having previously supported the 2026 Wiraka Colorado Snooker Open, which formed part of this year's USSA National Tour.
USSA Executive Director Alan Morris welcomed the announcement, saying:
"It is absolutely fantastic that we have been able to expand this year's United States National Snooker Championship with the opening of the PABSA Academy."
Morris added that the additional venue would provide players with "even more opportunities to play competitive matches" and thanked Wiraka for its continued commitment to supporting the growth of snooker in the United States.
Colorado Snooker was proud to welcome Wiraka as title partner of the 2026 Wiraka Colorado Snooker Open, an event praised by the USSA for attracting many of the nation's leading players and delivering a professionally run tournament in Colorado.
